Kenyan Orthodox Black Tea is cherished worldwide for its rich flavor and captivating aroma. Grown in Kenya’s high-altitude regions, this tea thrives under ideal conditions, enhancing its unique qualities. The traditional orthodox process—handpicking, withering, rolling, fermenting, and drying—preserves its natural oils and flavors, resulting in a bold, malty taste with a brisk finish. When brewed, it boasts a deep amber hue and a robust caffeine kick, making it perfect for a refreshing start to your day or an afternoon boost. Packed with antioxidants, it supports heart health, boosts metabolism, and promotes overall wellness. With its naturally sweet notes, it can be enjoyed plain or with a touch of milk or sugar. Brewing Instructions
-
1.
Start by boiling fresh water, as the quality of water can impact the tea's flavor. For better taste, we recommend using spring or distilled water.
-
2.
Once the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool slightly to around 200-212°F (93-100°C)
-
3.
Pour the hot water over the measured tea leaves in a teapot or infuser. Use 1-2 teaspoons of loose-leaf tea for every 8 ounces of water.
-
4.
Let the tea steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on how strong you enjoy it. For a milder taste, stick closer to 3 minutes; for a more robust flavor, let it steep for the full 5 minutes.
